How To Set Time On PBX In a Flash

PBX in a flash is well known free open source PBX system. In this article I'm going to explain how to set the system time correctly and how to let it sync with a NTP (Network Time Protocol) server. Which will sync my PBX systems time with selected internet time servers automatically and will keep the correct time always.This will allow you to apply day light saving settings (If you're in US) automatically and will allow "Time Conditions" to run properly on the PBX.

To do this I'm going to use a web based tool called Webmin which will install automatically when you're installing the PBX.

As the first step from any computer from the network which your PBX is belongs to open up the web browser and type the Webmin URL Which is http://192.168.20.100:9001 on my system. It will prompt you to enter the log in details.



Once you log in to it it will be display as follows.



On the menu to the left corner expand Hardware and select system time



You will see three tabs on the top and the first tab called set time which will allow you to change system and hardware time.



The second tab called change timezone which will allow you to select the time zone which you're in right now.



Last tab called Time server sync will allow you to sync with a NTP server automatically on selected schedule.

Enter a Time server host name or IP address

Tick the check box for Set hardware time too

Select yes on Synchronize on schedule

Select simple schedule and select a schedule from the drop down list.

Click Sync and apply button on the bottom.

That's it. You're done. Don't forget to log off from the Webmin interface afterward.

The Operating system giant Microsoft releases their latest creation as Windows 8 Consumer Preview which will allow you to download and try their latest Windows operating system for free. The first different you will noticed after installing it on your computer is the new Metro UI which will replace your standard desktop and start menu. Also multi-touch features on the operating system allows users to interact with it in more interesting way.There are lot of new features in there to keep the user attached to the computer all the time. With all this please keep in your mind that this consumer previews eventually expire and will block all your access to your programs and stored files and folders. The best thing is to do is to have this on your secondary computer or may be in dual boot mode on a other hard disk partition. But according to the digging I have done it will most probably active until next year which is 2013 so, you have plenty of time to check it out.

System Requirements

Before you download please don't forget to read the minimum system requirements to make sure that your PC got enough juice to run windows 8. According to the Microsoft System requirements as follows

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster

RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)

Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device or higher

Additional requirements to use certain features:

To use touch, you need a tablet or a monitor that supports multitouch.

To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768.

To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least 1366 x 768.

How to copy files directly to samsung J700 memory card

Everyone likes to have their favorite music and pictures stored on their mobile phones. Coping those music and picture files to the mobile phone using a PC is not a hard thing to do. But the procedure might change in between phone manufacturers. AMD FX Vs Intel core i5

Over a month ago AMD has released an 8 core desktop processor called AMD FX. Today’s post is about if it’s any good against the Intel core i5 processor. Note that Intel core i5 processor is not the fastest processor which Intel produced on their core series. If we go back to our AMD FX processor line there are 4-core, 6-core and 8-core to be chosen from. You can only have 2 or 4 core setup on Intel core i5 product line. So the question is, can AMD’s new FX processor can beat Intel Core i5 processor ?

Before we answer to that question, Here is a processor comparison between AMD FX Vs Intel Core i5 on technological wise.

Also according to the PassMark CPU bench marking AMD FX lays on 24th place from the top while Intel core i5 lays 37th place on the list.

So will AMD FX beat Intel core i5 ? The answer is yes & No. If you're using AMD FX for video rendering, video encoding or to run Multi-threaded applications yes it will beat the Intel Core i5 processor. But If you're on to games, definitely Intel Core i5 will beat AMD FX because most of the games are designed to use less than 3 cores or so, it will not take the advantage of a 8 core processor.

Also you can buy AMD FX 8-core processor around 210 USD and Intel Core i5 2500k for around 216-224 USD by the time I'm writing this note. Surely prices will go down with latest future processors of both of these companies.
