Can't Add Credit/Debit Card To Play Station Store

 

Years biggest Play Station store sale is happening right now. I might write a entire post about it later but have you ever try to grab a deal through Play Station store ?

If you're from a country where Sony has a official Play Station store consider your self as lucky. For most of us purchasing something from Play Station store is a complicated process.

According to this article on PlayStation official website "If your credit or debit card is registered to an address in a different country to that of your PlayStation Store region, you may find that they cannot be linked". So this might be the reason you're getting errors when you try to add your credit / debit card or even your PayPal account as a payment option.

For example my PlayStation account is in US. But I live in Sri Lanka. So, my credit card and debit card region doesn't match to my PlayStation account region where I can't use them directly to make a purchase on PlayStation store.

If you carefully look at the payment options you will see the solution to the problem. "Redeem a Pre-Paid Card"

The question now is where I can get a Pre-Paid card. They might be freely available on other countries but where I live in the easy option is to purchase them online. Purchasing online comes with great benefits during a pandemic like this.

      How to redeem the code

      
      
      1.  Log into your play Station account.
         
         
      2. Once this step is completed, you have funds in your wallet where you can use them to purchase games through Play Station store.
