Scam+ can stop working in Hellobox 6 for many reasons. In this article I'm going to explain 1 reason for it and how to fix it. I bought my Hellobox 6 from Ali Express and it had 2 years of free Scam+ service included into the price.
Few months ago, before the Scam+ expiry date it couldn't connect to the server and my Hellobox 6 was useless. The status of the Scam+ was always initialing.
I was able to talk to a Scam+ support through whatsapp and got to know that the firmware on my Hellobox 6 decoder was outdated. He shared the latest version of the firmware (on February 2025) through below link.
Here is how you update Hellobox firmware.
- Download and copy this firmware file into a USB thumb drive.
- Plug it into the Hellobox 6
- Go to "Tools" in the main menu of Hellobox 6
4. Select "USB Upgrade"
5. If you copy the right file it will identify it in the next menu and you can press the "Start" button
6. Wait until the update process is completed (Please don't turn off power during this time)
7. Now you should have the latest firmware version and the issue should go away.
